Good morning
I know my mum is reading this because she called me yesterday to let me know she had stumbled upon my blog. And that she was going to read it religiously from now on. So hi mum, just letting you know that the weather here is good, crisp autumn my favourite season. I’m sitting in the kitchen in a bathrobe eating breakfast, strawberry jam on toast and green tea.
I love this mug. It says ‘Good golly, it’s Robertson’s time!’ I have no idea what it means. Anyone care to explain? But this mug is super cute, I love golliwogs, reminds me of my favourite book, ‘The three golliwogs’.
Does anyone eat their toast in triangular slices or is it just me?

Ooh I prefer your Mums breakfast! Walnut bread!
Hehe my mum reads my blog too and I wrote on there that I showed her some embroidery samples for that class and she just laughed at them. So then she calls me up last night and she’s all “so I just read your blog, I can’t believe you said I laughed!” and i was all you know, everyone just puts funny stuff on their blog, it’s all okay. and she was so sad because now the whole world thinks she’s mean. Hehehe. Maybe I have to go edit that post.

I like my toast in triangles too!
The golliwog is from Robertsons marmalade. There used to be a little pocket on the back of the jar, with a paper golly inside. If you collected them you could send them off to get a golly badge. I have a couple somewhere

THANKS MELANIE!!! That golly site is awsome! Yes fiance told me now about the robertson marmalade! His brother ate heaps of it just to get 2 mugs. One is broken so this is our most cherished mug! Oh i love it!!
Jenn i know, so hard to find golly things! ! I was looking through ebay last night…they have a few…i was really expecting a whole collection for the nutty people like me! But i’ll keep looking around for some vintage golly collectibles.

I collect Robertsons jam items. I have loads. I mainly collect the badges.I have 1100 of them from 1935 to 2001..
look at my website and see what other items they did. any questions email me via my website. regarding your mug. They were made in 1999 and feature the golly logo of the 1990′s…
