Work in progress: Niniji’s book
Hello. I am still here…just working on a few collaborations lately!
One of them is the Moleskine sketchbook exchange. I received Niniji’s book in the mail and her book has a Luna Sea theme to it. She also included a soundtrack with her book, played by the Japanese Rock Band called Luna Sea.
I put on the soundtrack today and started sketching my idea of a mysterious Luna Sea!
So yes….a smiling octopus, floating cherry blossoms, and very strange seaweed plants! I’ll share more pictures when I’ve coloured in this crazy image!

That artwork is amazing! I adore octopuses and asian flowers. If you made a print or would do a custom piece like that, I’d buy it in a heartbeat!

Helena this is really goooood! It’s a bit different to what you normally do I’m impressed. I hope it was intentional that you did most of the characters backwards lol

@ Niina
(sorry for just jumping into the conversation) actually I did those characters and yes they were intentionally backwards for two reasons: 1) my book was a “left handed” book that starts from right to left; 2) the lyrics to this song has an introspective feel to it, like someone talking to himself in the mirror. =^_^=
