Works in progress
Remember this? I’ve just finished inking my little birdies and tree print, as part of my nature series. I’ve decided to try a summer palette for this design, what do you think? I’m hoping that the marigold will come out nicely during my test print.
I think colouring foliage requires the most time for me and although this design looks simple, it actually took me awhile to ink in all the leaves and shade them.
Aside from making notebooks, I’ve been thinking about turning my nature patterns into greeting cards or postcards. Would they be too plain for cards? Any ideas?
Clockwise: Autumn Wild Berries, Summer birdy, Spring Wild Berries, Cherry Blossom.

they’d make great fabric!
not too plain for cards, especially little tags or note cards or thank you cards.
it’d be awesome if you could print on like a contact sort of thing so you could use it for in drawers or to cover books!

I think they would come out better on fabric!!!
I think they’d do OK on cards, but would sell better themed – ie, birthday etc.
As a pattern they would sell great as wrapping paper, gift tags and fabric. =)

I like it, I like it, I like it Helena!!! I have to agree with Michelle that these would be great designs for fabric (have you looked at Spoonflower?) As for cards, I think they would make great general cards, the type that are blank on the inside so that people could use them as a note card, for a birthday or even for thank you notes.

yes yes yes! If you print these on fabric, I would be very very very happy to buy them and sell in Fabric Fusion – I think these would be soooo popular!

These are gorgeous and I don’t think they are too plain at all, like others have said putting them on fabric would be great!
