Magazine illustration
Hello 3.30am and I’ve finally finished an epic artwork. A magazine illustration for the Mental Health Division, Department of Health WA.
I thought I’d share some before and after pictures with you. This was what I roughly sketched and sent to the client BEFORE:
And after colouring and touching up. This is AFTER:
As you can see, I tend to go crazy with details. And I also tend to experiment with as much colours as possible.
Sometimes it drives me nuts and it makes me wonder why I even bother. But sometimes I like the challenge.
I think this blonde sweetheart has sort of made up for the late nights:)

Well done! I’m also one for the details, it does get quite laborious after a while but there’s huge determination to complete the job. Then, voila! You create something as lovely as you just have Enjoyed seeing the before and after versions.

ouch that’s a lot of colouring! it’s amazing how the colour transforms the picture! you clever clever thing you. beautiful work as always!
