Off to the printer we go!

mo circles

Sending these cuties off to the printers to be made into gift tags. See any favourites yet?

I started drawing them when I was writing this post. I had to put the project on hold during the wedding but now that it’s over, I am slowly catching up with all of my drawings and colouring (just about).

I would really like to turn them into Mo badges and Mo magnets too. I am doing a few test runs here with some of my materials before I share them with you.

celebration

Gah! It’s finally over and we can go back to our quiet lives! One of the scariest things about getting married is coming dressed up and being conscious about the fact that everyone is looking at you! I really hope that I didn’t look too out of place with my dress choice. Truthfully it was the only white dress that I could afford for our handmade wedding. I dressed it up with a flower headpiece and orange shoes. That’s it!

The night before our wedding was pretty crazy. We spent many long hours at the art gallery setting up the tables and chairs and doing all the decorations by ourselves. I roped in mum to iron all the table cloths and got my friends to fold the paper napkins. Rich also decided that we should have blue bubble bottles instead!

The flowers were a different drama altogether. The florist rang up to say that the flowers we ordered wouldn’t arrive for the wedding so we used what they had left in the shop; orange mokara orchids, red and yellow James story orchids and orange calla lilies. As for the vases, I just made do with what I had lying around my house and in the art gallery. Truth be told, I was starting to think we would never get any rest! By the time I got into bed it was 3am and then the alarm clock woke me up 2 hours later for the wedding!

As it turned out, everything was so fun and the wedding really reflected our personality and our handmade spirit. We didn’t order a wedding cake so we got everyone to bring a home made dessert to sweeten up our day.

We’re just so glad to spend the day with our closest friends and family. I’ll share more pictures once they are ready!

And a handsome tuxedo bib by Neverever. Even big mo thought it was cool. Heh heh.

Check out their shops, everything is super sweet for the tiny tots!

I finished Perth Upmarket!

upmarketnov1

Thanks to everyone who came by to say hi. I like how people ask if I am the bride to be with orange shoes. The shoes must have left a lasting impression on my blog readers:)

Anyway Upmarket was my last market for the year and I’m taking a break to work on some new art…and get hitched of course! Here are pictures of some talented designers from the previous Upmarket in September who were also retailing last weekend. Check them out!

One market down, last one to go. This is going to be a huge event with over 85 retailers selling their design wares at the Perth Pre-Christmas Upmarket. You can check out the lineup here. I’m really excited to sell alongside these amazing designers!

This is also my last market for the year and then I’ll be taking a break (and planning the wedding).

I still have a few 2010 calendars left and lots of art and gifts for Christmas presents. Come up and say hi and as always, thanks for supporting HANDMADE!

Another day at the markets and it was good to see everyone! Thanks for stopping by to say hi! Some pictures of my talented friends at MOTL.

My friend Karen from Tiny town paints these awesome manga inspired characters. She also does custom portraits.

I love how Sarah from Odd Girl Out has housed her jewellery in these wooden frames, so simple and effective.

Jane from Paper Chain Pony made a light box for her display. Her jewellery and display is so vogue and chic! Love it!
