Saturday, February 5th, 2011Water Lily anyone?
Friday, January 21st, 2011I’ve been eying Deborah’s creations for the longest time. I thought I would go crazy if I waited any longer to purchase something from her shop.
I decided to get one of her water lily plates so that I could use them for our Lunar New Year dinner.
The plates arrived this week…and let’s just say, I am pretty smitten by its beauty.
Cancer Mo
Monday, January 17th, 2011Pisces Mo
Sunday, January 9th, 2011Here’s another horoscope illustration I worked on this weekend. This is Pisces Mo. I coloured her with salmon-pink hair!
A bit about Pisces Mo:
She is gentle and compassionate in spirit, and is known for her imaginative and active mind. Other than daydreaming (which is quite often!), she likes helping those around her.
Custom portrait for Tina
Saturday, January 8th, 2011Here’s a custom portrait that I was working on over the New Years, while fireworks were popping outside my window.
Tina requested a beach setting for her beach loving family so I decided to use a pastel palette. I used mostly light blue and green hues with sandy beige tones. These are the colours that come to my mind, when I think of the beaches in Australia.
If you’d like to buy a gift certificate of a custom portrait, they are available in my shop in a single portrait or a family portrait. Tina got hers as a Christmas present from her sister, and I know how happy she was with her gift!
Check out my Facebook album to see the rest of my custom portrait collection.
Aquarius Mo
Tuesday, January 4th, 2011Today I sat down and drew some ideas that were swimming in my head for some time. I’ve been wanting to draw a series of horoscope illustrations.
I started with Aquarius Mo.
She is bit of a rebel, she doesn’t like to follow the conventional route. She has her own original ideas and is intelligent and inventive.
While colouring Aquarius Mo, I pondered about colouring her hair black like I normally do….or trying a different colour. I decided to go with the latter because I wanted to explore a new style for my horoscope series. What do you think? And more importantly how do you feel about Aquarius Mo’s midnight blue hair?
Custom portrait for Liza
Thursday, December 16th, 2010Here’s a fun custom portrait of Liza’s children; Lilly and Max. I really like this piece!
Liza wanted a park setting so she sent me some photos of their favourite park. I prettied up my version of the park by adding some lily flowers and two critter friends:)
She also included pictures of the kids’ favourite outfits and toys for me to reference. I love Lilly’s dress, I wish they had this dress in my size! And this is Buster, Lilly’s toy dog!
I’ll be taking in custom portrait orders for the New Year. If you’d like a portrait of yourself, just email me or purchase them from my shop here. You can view the rest of my portrait collections on my Little Mo and Friends Facebook page.
Hanging art
Saturday, November 27th, 2010A bit of update on the shopfront, I have added a new batch of keychain designs in my shop! Each piece is handmade by me and comes packaged in a recycled gift box. I think they’ll make cute little stocking stuffers for Christmas:)
All of my pieces are available to purchase here and here.
Which is your favourite design? I like the watering can and Panda Mo best!
