I’m so excited to show you my latest creation! Bookplates! Ta-dah!
These bookplates are all printed professionally on recycled paper with a flawless matte finish. I’m so happy with the print quality that I keep running my fingers on the stickers. I love them so much!
They are all handmade by me and packed into little packets with gift tag labels. Each pack comes with 6 sticker labels. Just peel and stick. Two designs to choose from in my shop: Garden Greens or Mouse Hugger. Enjoy:)
Snail mail day = spending a bit of quiet time to pen a letter to my friend.
Using this lovely pack of handmade recycled paper from Paper by Forget-me-not.
Sharing life stories and sealing my envelope with a kiss. I love snail mail day.
My husband loves all things pug. He even calls me puggy. It started out as a joke but now the name is stuck and it’s not very cool.
These are some of my favourite things I would like to buy for him. I have bought two from this list so far.

Yaay! Congrats!
I asked Damian, Mr Dorkboy himself to help me draw out the names. Yes, from a hat and all the way from Canada! Thanks mate!
Thanks everyone for being so sporting and generous. You’re such a great bunch and we had so much fun organising this!
Natalia, your calendar is on the way to you. Enjoy:)
Over the years, I’ve made lots of friendship via blogging. Damian from Dorkboy Comics is one of my internet buddies and we still keep in touch when we can.
This week I received a super cool package from Damian. A comic illustration featuring Little Mo which he drew last year. My first ever Action Mo!
and a 2010 Dorkboy calendar, I love his quirky humour!
Damian has kindly given me two calendars and I would like to share his art with my blog readers!
If you would like this awesome calendar, just leave a comment on this post. Leave a nice message for Damian too! A lucky reader will be drawn and this unique art calendar will be posted over to you as a present! Cheers!
Hello 3.30am and I’ve finally finished an epic artwork. A magazine illustration for the Mental Health Division, Department of Health WA.
I thought I’d share some before and after pictures with you. This was what I roughly sketched and sent to the client BEFORE:
And after colouring and touching up. This is AFTER:
As you can see, I tend to go crazy with details. And I also tend to experiment with as much colours as possible.
Sometimes it drives me nuts and it makes me wonder why I even bother. But sometimes I like the challenge.
I think this blonde sweetheart has sort of made up for the late nights:)
Many of you have asked how I made my little house shelf. So I’m sharing this tutorial so that you can make your own.
You can make it to any size, and you can prop it up in your work room or your kid’s room to display children’s books, magazines, letters or anything you fancy:)
Outline your house on the wood. Mine is an MDF panel board from Bunnings. It cost $11.50. It’s sort of ‘medium’ in thickness. Not too thick and heavy, and not too thin either. My father in-law helped me cut it.
We used two pieces of wood and a hinge to make the stand.
It’s easier to make the stand when the house is flat.
We glued wood moulding to decorate the border of the house. You can get lots of different patterns like flowers and vines. They come in a long strip. I chose a simple pattern called rope. They are all available at Bunnings.
We made two basic shelves. We outlined on the wood first.
Then we glued and nailed the shelves on.
The fun part is colouring the house. I painted mine white because I only had white paint at that time. But you can colour yours in something colourful and stick plenty of fun stuff on it!
One of these days I might re-paint mine..in stripes or polka dots maybe:)
I made new packaging labels for my postcard pack. They include a bit more description such as:
- Made in Western Australia
- 100% recycled
- To and From messages
Now you can write your loved one’s name when you give them a pack of Mo cards. I think it makes gift giving more fun and cheerful:) No more ordinary Birthday cards.
Available with my Garden set and Beautiful Day set. Enjoy.
